Newcastle Innovation, the commercial arm of the University of Newcastle, delivers access to the University's world leading research in clean and renewable energy. Together we promote cleaner and more efficient utilisation of fossil fuels such as coal, develop next generation technologies for clean energy production and develop new energy efficient and sustainable processes for preservation of the environment.
For 40 years we have been acting as a bridge between the academic faculties and research centres of the University and the wider business community. This works in two ways. The first is where we identify a process or product discovered by the University that has commercial potential, and approach suitable business partners to develop the technology for market. The second is where a business approaches us to do research and development on a specific project. In all instances we look to forge productive partnerships between the University and the businesses that will ensure value will be created.
